Has America gone MAD!!!!! I would like to hear ONE LEGITIMATE reason why so many of you are behaving like we're on the brink of ARMAGEDON (sp?)!!! Tell me what THIS President has done that is SO extraordinarily out of the realm of his authority since he took office after George W. Bush, given the absolute devastation we were facing upon his "taking the helm"???? He alone did not put us in the debt we find ourselves in! He alone did not run the unemployment rate up to the levels it's reached beginning when he first took office! He alone did not authorize the bailouts that SAVED one of the biggest industries in this country, the automotive industry. Tell me, all those who appear to be whipping yourselves and apparently hoping to inspire others into a psychotic state of mind because of some unspecified fear, WHAT WOULD ANY OF YOU HAVE DONE? Do ANY of you think that you are intellectually astute enough to run this country? You sit on the sideline being "Armchair Admirals" lamenting about the loss of freedom, future debt, blah, blah, blah! Tell me specifically WHAT FREEDOM HAVE YOU LOST!?!? No generalizations, SPECIFICALLY! Tell me how YOU would have handled paying down TRILLIONS of dollars of debt left by the previous administration (YES I SAID IT…….BECAUSE OF THE PREVIOUS AMINISTRATION!!) because of the funding of TWO WARS that were not budgeted and, at the time THIS President took office, were not paid for. Tell me what any of you would have done if you were faced with the demise of one of the biggest industries in this country. Would you have added to the unemployment dilemma and simply let the companies close; take their business overseas? Tell me, if Ted Kennedy had achieved getting a piece of legislation passed, healthcare, like so many on both sides of the isle attempted before, would you have been more accepting of the legislation? Are you not aware that proposals that were, prior to THIS President coming into office, bi-partisan proposals are suddenly touted and labeled as "socialist"? WHY? What changed? When you speak of this President and his "base", do you realize that NEVER have I heard ANYTHING from anyone who does not care for this President say anything that would leave me to believe that they've considered that Black folk make up only 13% of the entire American population therefore, it is not only Black folk and/or other minorities that voted for this President, IT WAS WHITE FOLK TOO!!! Have any of you ever considered that Black folk have been voting for white men all of their lives and have NEVER dared express such vile, denigrating, vitriol about someone who was voted into office to represent ALL OF THE PEOPLE. What is it that is so different about THIS PRESIDENT that it has obviously struck such fear AND hatred in the hearts of ONLY THOSE that do not look like him (and I don't count Allen or the former GOP chair - I know what their motivation is). Tell me why someone like Colin Powell, who was respected by EVERYONE on both sides of the isle for his intellect, astuteness, and distinguished military career, is suddenly looked upon with such disdain because he exercised his right as an American to vote any way he so chose. Have we become that "ONE DIMENSIONAL" in our thinking? Why is it that ANY and ALL proposals put forth by THIS President, are not even reviewed and considered by those who openly express such hatred for THIS man when I NEVER heard this kind of conversation when we were led down a path of what has been clearly proven to be destruction by George Bush, Cheney and their war-mongering cronies? What about THIS President gives you license to denigrate him and the Office of the President. Has EVERYONE gone mad?!?!?
